New Laserdiscs

Well, it has been a LONG time since I have posted to my blog, but I figure I should try and get back into it. I’m watching a lot of movies lately, so maybe I’ll start posting short reviews once again. Anyways, the reason I am posting today is to post about a nice lot of Laserdiscs I picked up this morning. I found a listing for them on Craigslist on Thursday, and considering the deal I got, I must have been the only one to respond. The guy had a list of about 40 or so movies and a player (Pioneer CLD-S304) and said to make an offer. I emailed him asking what ballpark he was looking in for everything, and he emailed me back saying $40. Well, suffice it to say we hammered out the details soon after that and agreed on a pickup day and time.

So this morning, my girlfriend Sam and I took a nice little road trip with our puppy Teddy to South Etobicoke to pick everything up. The man I bought everything off of was very nice and it looks like he kept great care of his disks. Everything went off without a hitch and I am now adding about 35 new titles to my collection. Here is a list of all of the movies I picked up today:

So that’s my haul for today. My first big haul since the winter time. I’m pretty happy with what I got today, and can’t wait to watch some of these. Now, just to find the room to store them…
